Motorola has launched its clamshell music phone MotoYuva W396 in India.
The phone packs the latest version of MP3 player software that includes playlist creation which allows users to organise songs by genre, artist or album.
The phone lets users record excerpts of songs from FM radio along with radio data system (RDS) functionality, which shows the name of the artist, song and genre of music playing.
Measuring 128 x160 with 65,000 pixel TFT display, the phone supports JavaTM platform to install games and other applications. W396 comes with a VGA camera with 4x zoom and auto-save option.
MotoYuva W396 provides users an upgraded version of Music ID application. The application allows users to detect the songs played over external speakers and even the songs on FM. The phone also gives access to MOTOMUSIC1, a combined Web and WAP service with a MOTOMUSIC scratch card inbox offering 10 free ringtone downloads.
The phone offers storage capacity of 1000 contacts and 750 SMS messages. It features an enhanced user interface, making it easy to create a text message with one click.
Faisal Siddiqui, director of Product and Solutions, India and Southwest Asia, Motorola Mobile Devices said, "The phone is fully-loaded with features, delivering a fun and engaging experience."
The seventh MotoYuva-series phone in India, W396 is available for Rs 4,424.
